Reflection Room - UW Bothell

The Reflection Room is an open use space for the University of Washington Bothell community, to seek quiet time for meditation and reflection.

Locations

  • Two Reflection Rooms are located on the UW Bothell campus; UW1-007 and UW1-171.
  • No reservation is needed for use, and the room is available during University business hours.

Reflection Room Guidelines

  • • Use the Reflection Rooms for prayers, reflection and meditation only.
    • Respect that people from all backgrounds and religions are using these spaces.
    • Electronic devices must be silenced prior to entering the rooms.
    • Be respectful of the quiet atmosphere of the spaces and be cautious of carrying loud conversations.
    • Practices vary in the use of sound and silence. Please feel free to meet the needs of your practice while being respectful of others using these shared spaces.
    • Be mindful of the cleanliness and tidiness of the rooms. Do not litter. Ensure that all clothing and prayer mats are folded and placed in the allocated spaces before you leave.
    • Do not take, displace or destroy any items in the rooms.
    • These spaces are to remain advertising free. This includes, but is not limited to, placing or distributing flyers, posters, soliciting, etc.
    • These rooms cannot be reserved; they are available as a shared space and intended to be used on a first-come, first-served basis.

Questions, Concerns

If a person or activity is observed using the space inappropriately, you are encouraged to contact Melissa Keightley, Director of the Student Diversity Center.

If the person or activity is an immediate threat or danger to the space, you are encouraged to contact Campus Safety at 425-352-5359.

Meditation Room - Cascadia College

The Cascadia College Meditation Room is an open space for the Cascadia community to seek quiet time for meditation and reflection.

Location 

  • The Meditation Room is located in CC3-120.
  • Reservations for use are encouraged.

Meditation Room Guidelines

  • This is a safe space for meditation, prayer, and quiet reflection.
  • Please treat this room with respect and care.
  • Book room in 15 minute intervals using the sign-in sheet hanging outside near the door.
  • This room is reserved Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:15-12:50pm for an employee meditation activity. A sign will be posted when the room is in use for this purpose.
  • Do not eat, drink, use cell phones, study, or nap in this space; use other spaces on campus to meet those needs. Those using this space for non-meditation/prayer/reflection uses will be asked to move to another space.
