Requesting Materials

UW Bothell and Cascadia College students, staff and faculty can request books to be pulled from the shelf and held at the Circulation desk on the first floor of the Campus Library.

Upon request, library staff in all units will assist with the retrieval of books and with the use of electronic and other bibliographic resources. Time needed for retrieval will vary depending on staff availability.

To request material retrieval by phone or in-person

  1. Contact the Information Desk on the first floor of the library by calling 425-352-5340 or by stopping by in-person during open hours.
  2. Bring your library borrowing card to the Information Desk on the first floor of the Campus Library to pickup your held items.

To request material retrieval through the UW Libraries Search

  1. Search the UW Libraries collection for the item you would like to retrieve.
  2. Click on title from the list of search results to open the item record.
  3. Click "Request UW item" from the item record.

*Submissions to the Library’s anonymous feedback form are reviewed by the Associate Dean, the Director of Public Services, Director of Collections Strategy, and the Budget & Operations Manager. Comments are forwarded to other library and campus staff if the content is relevant to their work.
