Borrowing Services

Borrowing Library Materials

University of Washingtstudents studyingon and Cascadia College students, faculty, staff and authorized visitors may borrow materials from the UW Bothell/CC Campus Library. Services available vary based on borrower type.

Bring the item(s) you wish to borrow and your library card (Student or Staff ID; UW Libraries Borrowing Card) to the 1st Floor desk. You are responsible for:

  • Presenting valid ID when borrowing materials
  • All material checked out on your card
  • Knowing due dates. Dates may change based on renewal and recall requests
  • Returning or renewing materials on time

The library has a laptop lending program for UWB students.

Regularly check Your Library Account for accurate due dates, and to renew items online.

Most book and media items in the UW Bothell/CC Campus Library check out for the following periods of time:

  • Undergraduates and Alumni: 4 weeks, unlimited renewals (unless item is recalled)
  • Faculty / Grads / Staff: 12 weeks, unlimited renewals (unless item is recalled)

Some collections within the library (i.e. Reference) are in-library use only, while other collections (i.e. Writing) check out for 14 days. Items that are on Reserve for a class check out for shorter periods of time.

A few media items are intended only for instructional use. Students can use these items while in the library and faculty can check them out, schedule for a particular class time and viewing, or place them on Reserve for class use.
