Visual Artists Respond to 9/11

The September Project is a grassroots effort to encourage public events on freedom, democracy, and citizenship in libraries on or around September 11.

This year, the Campus Library has chosen to highlight how visual artists have responded to 9/11 through photography, graphic novels, and political cartoons.

Since September 11, 2001, artists have created a rich variety of responses to the events of that day and its aftermath.  The Campus Library’s September Project display features graphic novels, collections of photographs, watercolor paintings, and political cartoons, representing some of these artistic expressions. As communities around the nation and world commemorate 9/11, we encourage you to visit the Campus Library display on the first floor of the Campus Library.

Visit the national September Project website for more information on this program.
