Print/Copy costs for b&w letter size pages are $0.12 per page ($0.23 per sheetfor double-sided printing) or $0.75 per sheet for letter sized color printing.
Note: Double-sided color printing is not available in the library and larger paper sizes will cost more. None of the printer/copiers accept cash. University of Washington students can use their Husky card (school ID card) to pay for printing and photocopying on campus, as well as purchases at the on-campus bookstore, Subway restaurant, and the coffee cart in the Commons. Husky Card holders must first add value to their card either online using a credit card, or with cash (paper currency only) at the vending machine in the Library. They can also check their balance and track their purchases online once they have set up their account.
For Cascadia students or patrons without a Husky Card, Dawg Prints Cards are available for purchase from the vending machine in the
Campus Library Information Commons. Please
note that these cards may also be used in the same manner as the Husky Card, but users may only add cash value and check balances at the vending machine in the Library. Each card purchased will cost $0.20, so it is recommended that users write your name on the card and retain the card for future use and add value as needed.
Patrons with the older Copy Cards can no longer have any remaining balance transferred to their Husky Account, or to a Dawg-Prints Card. For more information, contact Donna Parks at donaprks@u.washington.
For more information on the Dawg-Prints program including how to print from your own laptop while on campus, visit the Dawg Prints website at http://www.dawg-prints.com.
Print jobs may remain in the print queue for 24 hours or more. If you are concerned about others printing your documents from the release station, wait until you are ready to print them before sending them from a computer.
Refunds are not available on the Bothell Campus. If a printer malfunctions during a printout, the Library Technology Consultant can resend any remaining portion of the job to the printer. Creative Communications will accept refund requests directly, but not for printing mistakes, user errors, or damaged paper stock. To request a refund credit, go to the Dawg-Prints refund page, or email uwcshelp@uw.edu and provide the following information:
Your full name
Your student or employee ID number (if any)
The date and time of the loss
The building location and name of the printer where the loss occurred
The number of pages and dollar amount of the loss
Brief decription of the error or cause of the loss
How do I print?

Select the printer appropriate for your print job. (If you don't want double-sided prints, you must de-select this option under properties for the Library Double-Sided printer.) Next, you’ll be asked
to provide your name and a document name.It is important that you provide a unique name so that you can find and print the correct document!
Go to the closest Printer, located at the west end of the computer aisles in the Information Commons. Swipe your
Card at the card reader mounted on the printer. When the print queue appears, locate your print
job by the name you entered. The most
recent print jobs will appear at the top of the print queue. Select
your print job by touching the checkbox on the left. Verify that it is the correct number
of pages and the correct amount is being charged and then click the Print button. Make sure to select the Logoff button
to close access to your account!
How can I reduce my printed
output?
You can print double-sided
from any application.
Shrink images, reduce font sizes, decrease margins and line spacing.
Run spell check and then proof read your document before
printing. Check layouts by using the Print Preview feature.
Ask your instructor if you can submit your assignments
online or via email.
