Alert Services

Research Alerts --also known as email alerts, notification services, or SDIs-- provide citations and table of contents of recently published articles, books, and research that are sent to you via email on the topics of your choice. Research alerts are a great way to stay up-to-date on current publications in your field by having citations automatically delivered to your email inbox. The instructions for setting up automatic research alerts vary by vendor, although the basic processes are similar. Many databases are beginning to add a RSS feature, which delivers content to portable computing devices as an XML file, these are called RSS feeds. STEP 1: Browse the list of subjects below and identify databases that are relevant to your interests.

 

STEP 2: Review the description of service and general instructions for the database(s) you are interested in. The instructions for setting up a notification service vary by vendor. Follow the link and instructions to set up your notification service.

Enter in your desired search term(s), then click the "Set Up Alert" link at the top of your search results list. Then fill out the "Set up your Search Alert" form.
Business  
  EconLit Set up your EconLit/CSA database alert.
Save your searches as alerts. Click the Alerts link located in the top right corner of the screen. Click the "New user" link.
  Factiva Set up RSS Feed alerts with Factiva.
Computing and Information Technology
