Image Collections and Services

Image Collections & Services provides digital images to support teaching, learning, and research at the University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia Community College. Image Collections & Services develops and maintains the Library's image collections, and provides access to other University of Washington image collections through the uwbMDID image database and the UW Image Bank.

Image collections currently include art, architecture, science, and historical and cultural materials, and new interdisciplinary image content is regularly added to the collections. Approximately 6,000 new images are acquired each year, and faculty may request new images on any topic at any time.

Image Collections & Services encourages and supports innovative uses of images in teaching, student projects using images, image presentations using a variety of tools, faculty image collection management, and other image uses and applications. Please contact us for further information or consultation.
