ProQuest databases, including ABI/Inform Global, National Newspapers, Research Library Complete, Proquest Medical Library and Washington State Newsstand Remember that Proquest will not always give you the text of the book review itself; you'll have to go to the UW Libraries Catalog to do a title search for the periodical in which the review is located. Choose Guided from the Search Methods dropdown list. From the article type dropdown box directly above the date limits field, you can limit your search to "book reviews" or "all reviews." You can search by author name or book title, but keep in mind that the book title can be incorrectly cited, so if you limit to book title, you may miss some reviews. Alternatively, you can type in at(book review) AND name(Stephen King) to find reviews of books by Stephen King.

Research Libraries Complete provides full-text access to the New York Times Book Review from January 3, 1999 to the present.  Try searching for the title of the book by using quotation marks around the title (for example:  “loving Picasso”), or search the author's name, or type source(New York Times Book Review) and "loving picasso" UW restricted
