Getting started at the library
Get your UW Net ID (or check to see if you already have one) - You'll need your UW NetID to request materials from the library catalog, initiate renewals, search our research databases from off campus, and to get into electronic reserves. Connect to databases from off campus (what does that little lock icon mean?) - If you see this icon next to a link, it's UW Restricted, and you'll need your UW NetID to use it. Video and text instructions are available under heading #2, "Connect from Home." Activate your library account - Set up email notification so that the library can notify you when a book you have requested is available, or so that you can be alerted when your items are due.
