It's a good idea to read over the materials on the organization's website first, and perhaps contact them to set up an appointment. Some provide limited access to their archives, and/or may suggest times to meet with knowledgable staff.

You can also try Q&A Live, a collaborative digital reference service that allows you to "chat" with a librarian in real time using your computer.
