    Referring to the Excel file fortune 100 – 1957 – 1982 – 2007.xls, answer questions below. You may find it useful to sort the spreadsheet. To do so, go to the Data dropdown menu in Excel and then choose Sort.

    1. How many companies are in the top 100 in all three years 1957, 1982, and 2007?

    2. Overall, what conclusions can you draw about the durability of companies?

    • What are some main reasons companies cease to exist or stay on top? Can you see any differences between companies that stayed on the list and those that did not?

    3. Choose one company that was on the list in all three years to be the subject of your group reports this quarter. Speculate briefly as to whether it will be in the Fortune 100 of 2032.

    • Report your group's findings at the end of class, including the sources used and justification for the reliability of the information.
