Off-Campus Access to UW Restricted Resources

Most of the databases, electronic journals and e-books available through the UW Libraries are restricted to current UWB/CCC faculty, students and staff. If you want to connect to resources labeled UW restricted from outside of the campus network, you must log in through the off-campus proxy.

To connect to UW restricted resources using the proxy:

• Click on the button in the upper right hand corner of any library web page or go to: http://offcampus.lib.washington.edu/.

• You will be prompted to enter your UWNetID.

• Once logged in, note the "Off-Campus Access" button is now green and your browser address bar includes "offcampus.lib" in the address.

• You may now connect to UW restricted resources!

• If you frequently access UW restricted resources from off-campus, you may want to install the Proxy Bookmarklet, that lets you connect with one click.
