Resources for CCC Distance eLearners and Remote Users

Your Library Account and UW NetID

Your Library Account allows you to check out books, renew them online, and monitor their due dates. The library will send due date reminders, overdue notices, recall notices, and hold pickup notices to the email address in your library account, so make sure it is an address you use.

Your UW NetID is a username and password that allows access to most UW restricted library resources, including articles on Electronic Reserve as well as hundreds of Research Databases.

Resources Available Online

Connect to most of the UW Libraries UW restricted online resources from home by clicking on the "Off-Campus Access" button in the top right-hand corner of Campus Library web pages (see example on this page).

Getting Books

Distance Learners at UW Bothell have several options for getting books from the Campus Library, UW Libraries, and beyond. The option that works best for you will depend on where you live and how often you visit campus.

Finding Electronically Available Articles

UW Libraries subscribes to many electronic journals and research databases that contain full-text articles accessible online. If you are searching in a database that does not contain the full-text of the article you need, click on "Check for UW Holdings" to find it. If it is available electronically, you will be provided with a link to the appropriate database or journal. If it is not available electronically, you will be prompted to search the UW Libraries catalog to find out whether it is owned in print.
