Group Study Rooms are intended for groups of UW or Cascadia students, staff and
faculty working on group projects, studying together, or conducting
meetings. Priority use of the rooms will be given to students using them for group study. They are not intended for use as individual study carrels or as general-purpose classrooms. Due to the popularity of these rooms, the library has established reservation policies for their use.
Reserve a study room at the Information Commons Desk or by calling 425-352-5340.
Rooms can only be reserved by groups of current UW or CCC students, staff, and faculty. A group is considered to be two or more people.
The room can be reserved for 2 hours (or less). If you need the room for longer, call or stop by the IC desk about 10 minutes before the end of your reservation. If the room is available for the next two hours, you can reserve it again.
With your permission, Library staff will tell other members of your group what room you have reserved (they will need to know your first and last name to look it up)
Rooms can only be reserved up to four consecutive times by a group (i.e. two reservations per week for two weeks or one reservation per week for four weeks, etc).
Instructors cannot reserve rooms for classroom use, office hours, or class meetings. For class related room needs, Cascadia Faculty can contact the CCC Faculty Support Office (425) 352-8175 and UW Bothell Faculty can contact Administration and Planning at uwbrooms@uwb.edu or (425) 352-5404.
Non-UW/CCC patrons, off-campus borrowers (Alumni, Summit, etc) and individuals studying alone may not reserve these rooms, but may use them if they are unoccupied. They will be asked to leave if a group of UW/CCC patrons wishes to use the space.
In order to ensure that only UW/CCC students, staff, or faculty book these rooms, two individuals in the group may be required to show UW/CCC I.D.
If after 15 minutes a group fails to appear, the reservation may be cancelled and the room may be scheduled for another group.
